Origins: The beginning of your journey

Origins: The Fall of Azoria is an open-map action role-playing video game by Shakiti Studios developed initially for mobile phones and tablets. It will officially be released in phases with first phase being the vertical slice of the game. The game leverages both Web2 mobile gaming along with Web3 game asset ownership giving players  account, inventory and skins ownership and tradability using NFTs. The game will subsequently be updated through expansions and DLCs, and extended to other platforms.

Setting

The world of Azoria is fantastic, otherworldly, and full of places for the player to explore. There is a sense of both urgency and distortion as the world seems out of time-space with some things within clear view and others ethereal or intangible all due to the Inclision event which has distorted time and placed the world into an uncertain place. Shakiti Studios has stated that they are focussing on creating a world that is both exotic and unique to players as well as something that should feel oddly familiar to gamers, with a variety of biomes to explore from forests to deserts to mountain-scapes, as well as worlds beyond imagination.

Synopsis

Before the Inclision event, the world was thriving in an era of enlightenment. Totemics had become a core way of life, enabling the five ancient races to live in harmony, prosperity and unity together. The world had finally become a prosperous and harmonious world during which the Ancients learned how to harness the power of Weka, to influence their abilities to influence time, space and matter. They mastered their abilities with Weka to interact with elements, crystals and organic matter to control the very elixir of the world they lived in.

The era of Discord, which nearly destroyed the world of Azoria, was thwarted by Cima and Arvid, two of the most prominent advocates of the Council of Ancients of this era.

After the Inclision event  the world has fallen into a dreamlike state that throws the rules of physics —of time and space— into spectacular and unexpected disarray. As you arrive, seek out those who may help you, and beware of those who may have alternative motives. You must determine your path and purpose within this world as you discover that all is not as it seems. With the help or hindrance of unusual characters and extraordinary creatures, some of whom are surviving Ancients, you’ll discover hints, clues, and relics that connect this chaotic present to a lost past of balance and unity.

Game Economy

Crafting: Organic Matter & Elements

Collecting Organic Matter (OM) is essential for players who will learn the art of crafting, and essential for gameplay to be able to use Elements. Players are able to collect a variety of OM, which are the most essential materials which come from Weka energy throughout the realm. Getting the right balance of OM will enable players to create Elements, the most powerful ways to interact and connect with Weka. Crafting requires that players have an empty crystal. Infusing Elements into crystals will make them powerful ‘Weka-charged’ items for players.

In-game currency

Players will also be able to find an in-game currency, as they explore the vast realm of Azoria. These coins can be spent in the game to buy items from Non Player Characters (NPCs) in taverns, marketplaces or other locations. They may also buy and sell OM, crystals and other rare items that they find. Players can also sell items from their inventory to the NPCs to increase their loot so that they can afford to buy new items.

Game assets, trading and store

Players who wish to trade their items, may find a variety of NPCs where they can sell and trade their items for in-game currency. Players are also able to visit the website marketplace, where they can buy, sell and trade their OM, Elements, weapons, armour, relics, and any other artefacts they may have collected in their inventory. Some items may be more useful to other players who have developed specific skills, so players can easily trade or sell their items in order to find items more suitable for their own gameplay.

NFTs, Tokens and the Blockchain side of the game

Origins: The Fall of Azoria is a Web2 game which has a Web3 bridge built into the game. The game is designed to ensure that all game assets can be fully owned by players. All assets held by the players are displayed and stored as Web2 assets in the player's inventory. Players who activate the Web3 function within the game will have full custody of their rare game assets (and player accounts, planned for the future).
