The Ancients were the first race who were formed from the essence of Weka, the life force energy that created all of the beings found in the Dreams Quest universe. There were five ancients, and one timeless race who together formed the basis of all language, knowledge, history and all which has been discovered which players can learn today.
Ancients
Melat’v’dia
Melat’v’dia are a race of beings who have mastered the elements, and operate in harmonious living following the natural ways of the DreamsVerse. They adhered to strict standards to retain balance and to prevent destruction. They were keepers of balance and order for millenia.
One of the two great races that were participating in the greatest aspects of ancient evolution through experimentation and knowledge expansion through the use of Organic Matter (OM) to infuse Elements into crystals. Their leader, Cima, was summoned by the council of ancients to lead the 5 races after the Discord, which nearly destroyed the harmonious society of the five ancient races. It was through her leadership along with Arvid from the Dragons, that led to the peaceful times that existed for many years thereafter.
Dragons
Dragons are one of the most elusive of the five ancients. They generally prefer to remain hidden rather than to interact with others. It is this particular aspect of them which led to the Council of Ancients determining that Arvid should co-lead with Cima during the time of Discord, to lead the ancients together to another era of harmony. There are many different types of Dragon, each suited to the environment where they live now. They live in a natural state of resonance which expands and increases over time.
Arythmea
These ancients focussed their greatest attention to the studies of Weka and documented many of the greatest learnings and achievements discovered. They are a race that focuses on knowledge, above all else, and spends most of their time in the great gardens of their city. They also built their glorious city and buildings, which are a structure of bronze stone with very intricate designs with characters and language displayed upon the walls. They tend to be somewhat reclusive or shy at first but become chatty once they know you. Their main temple structure has a huge amount of history.
Reok
Known as one of the most gentle and intelligent ancients within the realms, Reok are often found on or around the Tree of Life or in forest areas. They are highly illusive beings that refrain from much interaction with others. They are able to communicate and can provide clues or information on occasion once trust is established with them.
They are often referred to as both guides as well as ancients. They are originally from Azoria, but quickly adapted themselves to the other realms to restore or maintain the ancient tree network. Their aim is to ensure that, despite the Inclision event, life may continue to flourish. They interact with the Weka and energies of the realms to try to maintain some form of positive resonant energy so that the world can continue to thrive despite negative events such as the Discord and Inclision Event that have disrupted harmony.
Elestria
These ancient beings are one of the most human looking beings and are a more religious order. They are generally a very peaceful society who live both in their village, and can be found in other small towns or encampments throughout the realms. Elestria are known to have developed a lot of knowledge, and many come to seek their wisdom and guidance on personal journeys to raise their own levels of consciousness, knowledge and vibration.
Through a form of natural selection, those who are deemed most worthy amongst the elders are given the rare opportunity to serve as guides and masters in the sanctuaries. They can then fulfil their greater purpose to guide those who wish to learn the finer aspects of meditation and reach higher levels of consciousness. Through their teachings and knowledge they can guide those who are deemed as worthy to reach the mysterious locations of the Temple of Enos or the Upper Stream.
La’Huna
The race that were known to guard and protect the Temple of Enos, the sacred place which was believed to reside outside of time space and sitting in the center of the Upper Stream (a sort of infinity loop where time goes neither forwards nor backwards at its center). They were known to be caretakers to each who visited the temple and were responsible to guard and protect both knowledge of memories of those who visited. They are said to know your past as well as your many possible future outcomes. They were also known to provide visitors clues to those who visited them. Little is known of them today and whether or not they existed or are just of timeless legends now long forgotten.
Lead Ancient Characters
Cima
Leader and forebearer of the order Melat’v’dia, she was both harmonious and loving in nature but still firm in her role as a leader, ever present to ensure that society maintained strict adherence to the natural rules of Weka and energy. She sought harmony and balance for all and played a very important role to help others retain the natural order and balance. She was seen as a gentle ruler following natural law and admonished those who sought imbalance, experimentation or destruction (whether accidental or intentional). She mastered the highest Element derived from Organic Matter and worked with Weka. Her disappearance or death remains unclear as the Inclision Event left many uncertain as to where or how she died as her body has never been found and her whereabouts during/after the event remained unknown.
Arvid
Despite Arvid initially objecting to becoming a leader after the era of the Discord, he arose to the challenge to work closely with Cima to provide the needed balance and calm which contrasted the more outspoken Melat'v'dia. His guidance and intelligence led to many years of great harmony that both enabled the Dragons to continue to expand their resonance which enabled the realms to flourish, grow and develop. He along with Cima set out rules and ways of life which enabled the realms to achieve a great sense of harmony and expansion after the Discord. Much like Cima, his disappearance during or just after the Inclision Event also remains a mystery. It remains unclear where or how he died. It is believed he was with Cima on an urgent mission, but this has never been confirmed. His final resting point, like Cima, remains unknown.
